United Church Women

Anyone in the congregation is welcome to attend UCW meetings held on the 4th Tuesday each month with the exception of the summer months. Meetings are not held in July and August. The ladies work hard to support the work of the church and are available to provide a reception following a funeral services. They provide outreach to the Women’s Shelter, food bank and youth centre, all located in Miramichi. They also raise money for the benevolent fund outreach in the community. The UCW holds a ‘good used clothing’ sale during the year to help raise money for the church. Through monies raised by the UCW, the ladies are able to provide everything that is needed for the kitchen. As in any home, the kitchen is central to the life of the church providing take out meals as needed or coffee and dessert for ‘Meet and Greets’ held on a regular basis.  

Members also enjoy taking responsibility for church decorations according to season whether it is Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter. There are many ways to participate in the life of the church through the UCW. The UCW President is Debbie Symiest.
