What We Do
St. Andrew’s United Church is making a difference in our community of Miramichi and beyond. We are responding to God’s love at work in our lives and living out our calling as followers of Jesus, and we are building on a foundation of love, justice and acceptance for all.
As a congregation with both long-time and new members, we come together to find connection, spiritual nurture and belonging. Our strong sense of community is expressed through care and concern for each other, fellowship, meaningful worship and study for spiritual nurture, outreach to many of the most vulnerable in our neighbourhood, and support through illness and time of grief.
Gifts of time, talent and treasure enable so many ministries, including our weekly Community Kitchen; fun, faith-based connections with children/youth; a Friendly Visitors program with outreach to seniors who may be lonely or isolated; Christmas hampers; support to the Food Bank; ecumenical partnerships; all of which make a meaningful impact in our community. We draw this circle wider with our ongoing support to the Mission and Service Fund of The United Church of Canada which extends the reach of our ministry around the world. Our vision is one of transforming lives and creating a better world for all.
